For Caregivers
How to Qualify?
To be eligible for the New Canadian Caregiver Program, you must meet the following requirements:
English Proficiency (CLB 4+)
Demonstrate basic English skills at Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 4.
Education Requirement
Hold an education credential equivalent to a Canadian high school diploma.
Relevant Work Experience
Have recent and direct caregiving experience to qualify.
Full-Time Job Offer
Secure a full-time home care job with a Canadian employer before arrival.

To hire a caregiver through our program, you must meet the following criteria:

Both private households and caregiver agencies can hire qualified professionals through this program.
Demonstrated Need & Financial Proof
Employers must show a genuine need for a caregiver and provide proof of financial ability to cover salary and related costs.
Signed Employment Contract
A written agreement must outline job duties, work hours, salary, and benefits, ensuring clarity and protection for both parties.
Safe & Comfortable Living Space
Employers must provide a private bedroom with an ensuite bathroom to ensure a secure and comfortable environment for the caregiver.
